The Journey With Christ Church (Edmonton, AB)
The Journey with Christ Church is Bible believing/teaching church in the heart of NW Edmonton. We are affiliated with the Baptist General Conference of Canada.
We are currently seeking a part-time lead pastor (with the possibility of full time position), whose heart is that of a servant-shepherd devoted to prayer, evangelizing and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4), committed to church renewal, disciple-making, missional leadership, and pastoral care.
Qualifications:
Who has a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
Whose life is consistent with the Scriptural statements in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9 A.1.2.
Who is passionate about the Word of God. He should have heart that is of servant-shepherd devoted to prayer as well as an example of moral and ethical character.
Who must adhere to the statement of faith of the Church, and is very much willing to serve and work together with the leaders and congregation so that the church’s purpose will be accomplished that is primarily to promote the gospel in this community.
Who will spiritually nurture the existing congregation and at the same time develop plans to establish a sustainable ministry in the future. The ministry description will include preaching and teaching the Word of God, spiritual oversight, leadership and equipping the saints to do ministry work, providing biblical counsel and performing church ordinances.
Who has Bible School or Seminary training (not necessarily a degree) and accepts the Baptist General Conference statement of faith.
