About the author
Abe Funk has been a member of a BGC congregation since 1957 when he became a member of the Grant Memorial Baptist Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His ministry with the Baptist General Conference has spanned more than 50 years on both sides of the 49th parallel. He has served as a pastor, a church planter, and in denominational leadership. For seven years Abe and his wife Ann led a ministry that took them to more than 300 churches in Canada and the United States. Many years as a district coach and the founding executive director of BGC Canada has given Abe extensive knowledge of the Conference. His interest in history and experience as a published writer prepared him to research and write Our Story.
